yep. I saw this picture and HAD to vexel it. It is [link] , quite a lovely picture if I do say so myself. I had a LOT of fun doing this, and its my best so far! (>.> I wonder when Ill get to the point where I wont say that anymore lol). I hope she enjoys the end product as much as I do :]
i am in LOVE with my job on the eyes. mmmmmm so yummy...
I still need to work out blending, skin is a bit choppy but the individual parts, (nose, eyes, mouth) came out quite nicely. It was a fun change to do this in black and white as well.
100% pen tool, a few touch up brushes and blending aftereffects.
Sorry that the hair has...mysteriously dissappeared. I cant vexel REGULAR hair, let alone dreads as awesome as these. I really didnt want to ruin it so I cropped it up to the face, and personally I like it this way better anyway.
Comments + critiques always EXTREMELY appreciated. Thanks to *SekerAsar for title brainstorming help.
Have you tried using the stroke path for hair? Use long smooth strokes and then stroke path, with the simulate pressure at about... iunno... 10%? It's almost like cheating!
yea, I recently learned about stroke path, but Im still practicing getting good at making my paths look actually realistic and not random ASRHGTESJNSMDGTNEBZAHDNABDTB STRANDS
